What's New at the Library
It’s that time of year when our thoughts turn to sharing our blessings with others and helping out those in need over the holidays. From December 1 – 12, donations of non-perishable food items (canned or dried goods only) may be submitted to the Library Circulation Desk to reduce or even eliminate overdue book fines. Suggested donation is 1 item per $1.00 in fines.
The Library is pleased to partner with Information Technology Services (IT) to provide the Biola community access to lynda.com. Lynda.com provides thousands of high-quality instructional videos on a wide range of topics, including software design, film editing, the research process, marketing, music, art, and how to improve teaching with humor.
To easily find books and media items in the stacks, we have implemented a new feature called StackMap. When viewing an item's call number in the catalog, you will now see a "Find It" button.
There are a number of new art works going up around the library. While the Library continues to work with the Biola Art Department in providing new rotating exhibits each year these are usually limited to the Middle Level of the library.
