Get Course Reserves
The Reserves Desk is located on the middle level of the library to the left of the main stairs. Reserves are made available for short term use and may include: faculty lecture notes, homework solutions, additional course reading assignments, faculty personal copies, and other library materials. Reserves may be renewed at the Circulation Desk (unless needed by another patron).
Locating Reserve Material
Select your course.
If the item is in print form, bring the call # to the Reserves Desk.
If an electronic copy is available, click on Title and log into your library account. If you haven’t set up your library account before, follow the instructions to create a password.
You will then be prompted to enter the Course Password (obtain this from your instructor). Click on Submit, and the article will then display on screen for you to read or print.
Fines and Replacements
Fines for all types of Reserve material are $0.50 per item per hour that the library is open. Reserve overdue fines and replacement charges apply to Biola students, staff, and faculty. There is a minimum $5.00 charge for the replacement of Reserve folders. Charges may be considerably higher depending on the material contained within the folder. Replacement of other types of materials is subject to the discretion of the Head of Access Services, but a $50 minimum replacement charge may be posted to the user's account.
